What To Expect

Our classes are relaxed and friendly and focused on improving as a group. A typical class schedule includes our greeting and announcements, a warm-up, standing meditation (zhan zhuang), group Tai Chi practice and small group breakouts. During the group and breakout times, instruction is tailored to each student based on their progress and skill. It is during this time that students will receive the most instruction and correction on their movements and posture with the goal being to give each individual something new they can work on in between classes.

Some additional points of note include:

  • To sign up for a class or a free trial, please go to the booking site and create an account. You will be able to book your desired class.

  • Please bring a clean pair of shoes to change into so we can keep the floor of our space clean. We recommend lightweight shoes with a flat sole.

  • Consider arriving a few minutes before class starts to change shoes and loosen up your body.

  • Wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move and stretch in.

  • Listen to your body! Only go as far as is comfortable for your body. Quality in Tai Chi is found in the way our body moves as a whole rather than how high we can kick or how far we can step.
